I'll try to get you fixed up here. What version of Soho are you running? Please upgrade to the latest if you haven't already. There's been issues with the cart and user images in older versions. I believe this template has also been modified to remove the blog archive which may also effect the comments. Send me an email and I'll send you a replacement file to overwrite the mod.

Looks great! I like the overall look and feel. If I had to make this post useful by offering some advise I would say take a look at this

http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2005/02/26/simple-clearing-of-floats/

article on clearing floats. If you're toying with CSS layout you'll find it very interesting. Much has changed since the div.clear days! :) Otherwise, keep up the good work!

In Topic: Lack of decent templates hurting soholaunch

I tend to agree that there is a lack of quality templates either shipping with Soho or offered for free on the addons website. Especially when compared to other CMS's, even open source. For the record I think quality should be defined as well formed, accessible, standards compliant code. Look and feel is a somewhat personal opinion.

I'm not sure how much it affects sales of the Soho CMS but this isn't the first critical post regarding templates. Maybe instead of adding massive quatities of free templates, Soho could commmision template developers to create a handfull of quality offerings to be shipped with the CMS. I'm sure there are plenty of low-cost ways to motivate template developers to get on-board.

A quick browse through the 'paid' templates category on the addons website shows that there are plenty of quality templates offered by many talented developers. Instead of purchasing stock template websites to increase the amount of templates available, how about tapping into the talent within the community to develop high quality stock templates?

My 2.15 cents Canadian!

Be sure you are running the most recent version of Soholaunch. This template will only function properly on 4.9.2 and up.
