email forwarder not working

We have many forwarders set up, and they seem to work find most of the time.  However, last night, an email that was sent did not get forwarded, and I was wondering if someone had an idea of why that might happen?  Thanks!

Using email forwarders off your server will get your ip blacklisted.
They are for forwarding email within the server only.
I would check your websites ip address to see if that is not the case.

Good to know.  Although in this case, it's an internal forward

I think this is a case of some forwards going through, and some not...

No. Why would they do that?
Then they would have to un-blacklist one of there own ip addresses.
If your on a sheared ip address it is possible someone else doing the same thing
as you could also do it.
If you are on a sheared ip address then your all blacklisted on that ip address.
Also any one your sending email to that does not have some type of spam check will
still get your email.

Now we have two issues... one w/ an internal forward going only sometimes, the other w/ an internal forward not going at all where just recently it was working great every time.  Bc these are internal, the black listing thing shouldn't be an issue, right?  Any other ideas what might be causing it, or how I can fix it?

It is hard not to.

But it did make me smile!!
As I told you they would be considered spam.
You should check your URL to see if it is on a blacklist.
This is a good blacklist checker tool:
http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
If it is you will need to contact your host and have them remove it.
