Here are my suggestions:
  • Enable the shopping cart to be put into one, two or three columns. (You can already do this manually, but given the opportunity to do this automatically would push Soholaunch right up there with the better looking shopping cart systems.)
  • Provide the option to change the spacing between shopping cart item boxes. (Many other shopping cart packages automatically have spacing and it looks a lot more professional.)
  • Provide the option to change/delete product box borders and colours.
  • Provide the option to have sharp-cornered borders or rounded borders. (Rounded borders looks more professional.)
  • Provide different layout options within the product boxes.
  • Provide currency choice for customers within product boxes. (Obviously payment would be made in resident currency; in my instance GBP.)
  • Provide language choice for foreign speaking customers.
  • Provide option to have sale or offer prices, for instance "WAS £1000.00 NOW £500.00".
There are loads of ideas in my head, but those mentioned are the most important.
I know some are easier than others, but they should all really be looked at.

Soholaunch is great - I just think it could be made to look more professional than its current form; taking notes from other shopping carts.

And one other thing to point out - this forum is great in that when you have a problem or idea to improve the software ... your comments don't get deleted! This is good customer service and I like it!

Thanks,

Would also be nice if when you have lets say 100 items for sale in one of the boxed frames that, if you want to delete one item you can without deleting the whole lot.

The only work around atm is to move the ones you want to another box to save until your left with the offending one.

With the above posts, I too have had this idea, and great to see these 2 posts are from the UK.

I think there are more Soholaunch customers from the UK than people know!

Soholaunch is a brilliant all-in-one package - if the changes many people keep wishing for are implemented, such as those I have listed, then I truly believe Soholaunch would receive a lot more orders and be very, VERY hard to beat! :)

I'm not sure I follow what you mean with your idea, carmannic?

Most of these options are available.
Some are 3rd party software you would need to code in.
Some are in the plugin area.

Yeah, I know they are, but all of them would be better suited built in, don't you think?
Better to have more options built in than to use 3rd Party software as that means Soholaunch isn't relying on external partners.

The soholaunch ultra has some of these things now.
And there adding more all the time.
As a supporter and helper of soholaunch users here on the forum for years
I have had a lot of insight on user problems and issues.
About a year or so ago i had long conference call from the owner and
tech guys at soho and a lot of the issues i stated were addressed within the new soho ultra.
I have to give credit to the tech guy as they are always working on improving the soholaunch
model for both the ultra and the pro soholaunch and always looking out for security
and updating both.
Soholaunch will be here for a long time and only get better.

PS: 3rd party partners are maybe template builders and plugin builders for soholaunch.
And in the ultra it seams there implementing these into it.
In the pro edition it is mostly up to you as what you can or want to do with soho
including adding 3rd party software.

What was i writing and thinking of there.

lets start again..

When your editing pages you are set with 10 rows and 3 columns.

If in one box you put 100 shopping items, and yes you can just delete the one you want out of them 100 without it deleting the whole lot, doh there on my part.

But if you need to put an item in, lets say between item 10 and 11, you can't, it just defaults to the bottom.

Would be nice if the option to put new items in anywhere was possible.

That's what i meant, sorry for the confusion.

Once added you should be able to move it to where you want it
within the cell.
But adding 100 items within a cell may be a bit much for anyone to view.
You may want to consider adding additional pages with less items to a page.

100 items was only intended as a guide so as to make the senario look viable.

Maybe it's just me and i'm overlooking sumat?

But If i have 10 items in a single cell and i want to move an item up or down the list, well, i can't do that, It will not allow.

It allows you to move the item to another cell, but once that's done, moving it back to the original cell causes it to move to the botton of the others.

It's not a big issue, as i do have a work around, would be nice though to be able to do it without the work around.

Got to ask why.
You got 30 cells to use.
Why would you add them all to 1 cell?
Your cat post page you have like 20 items most in the same cell.
Try spreading them out.

Why? Well im a newbie and i'm still adding content to my pages.
As i put more items on each page i will spread them out, one cell = 10 items
The link highlighted something i had overlooked and has opened a new idea.
There's so much to read that sometime we forget these things.
Thanks for the advise, all advice is good advice.

A good place to start is the soho Manuel.
The link i posted.
But it is a bit outdated.
Most things are as stated, some have changed.
As far as i know you can add as many items to a cell as you want.
Adding many items i would use as many cells as possible.

What about individual price quantities.

Its great that you can have a Product Sub Categories with Price Affecting Options to sell one item that has many sizes or colours.

But then your limited to putting only one number in the inventory count field that will be used for all that range.

If i have one item that has sizes S, M, L, and i have only (2 x S), (1 x M), (3 x L), items in my stock level, i can't input this into the shopping cart. The only work around is to individually list each item on it's own with it's own stock level.

If this is the case then the Product Sub Cat & Price Affecting Options are a shame to loose as this can reduce time in listing items.

Please can this be forwarded to the team please to see if this can be implemented.

A good example is what Ebay do for multiple listing of a product, there you can list sizes, each with it's own pricing and quantity that will reduce when someone buys.

Dresswell's reply was very good.
I only hope the guys of Soholaunch include the options I listed.
