Hi,

Just finished with the creation of my latest template which can be seen on the home page of my site here:

http://jaxpa.co.nz/

Just wanting to get some feedback on the design and also need to know if anyone running IE6 is having any issues with it displaying (I run firefox and have got IE7 installed for testing, just need to make sure that that horrible piece if software will show the site correctly) as some of my earlier attempts looked like poos in IE6 :lmao:

Hey,

thanks dresswell, managed to check it out on a friends comp running Ie6.....aaargghH!!!

don't look right all.... that grey line is supposed to be part of the background for the menu, and the whole lots supposed to be centered......sigh.... back to the drawing board....

if you've got firefox or even opera check the page out in there, and you'll see what its supposed to look like....:ehheh:

Righto,

been very busy at work, an only just got around to looking at this again.... I know this a general IE6 vs everybody else issue and not a soho issue, but hopefully some one can help!

Haven't had any joy in getting this template centering and lining up correctly in IE6 yet.

Have tried some CSS 'hacks' regards to tricking IE6 to centering but with no luck....

Any suggestions that any one may have (Tim/Leh-Wen? :ehheh: ) greatly appreciated.

Site looks great! I noticed you have it centering in IE6 now. Here's the easy way to center a webpage with CSS:

CSS

#wrapper {
     width: 750px;
     margin-right: auto;
     margin-left: auto;
}

HTML

<div id="wrapper">
<!--Your entire template goes here -->
</div>

Be sure to have the correct doctype (which you do):
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Hey Tim,

Thanks for the feedback, I'll get it a shot (the centering), looks a little more streamlined that what I've used, so that will be good.
