Hey Folx,

Apologies if this is not supposed to be posted in this thread.

I have been commissioned by my work (I work for a hosting company that supplies Soholaunch as an option), to create some additional templates for our customers, but unfortunately I'm not blessed with the most "creative" mind.

I'v experimented with a few things to try and get my head around it all, and would like your opinions/criticisms of the template on the homepage of my site (the others are all still work in progress).

http://jaxpa.co.nz/i...hp?pr=Home_Page

The menu uses a custom php script to create an transparent image to bypass the limitations of embedding fonts, and javascript for reflections(which I don't think works properly in IE6, although I have a workaround for png transparency issues with IE6).

Template supports custom logo image.

Your thoughts most appreciated.

Hey dresswell,

thanks for quick response

Cheers, can't figure out why won't display correctly in IE6 (pig of a thing that it is), but will display fine in IE7.

Will keep researching for now, if any one has any ideas/solutions, I will be very interested to know :hmm:

Thanks Mike,

reading through my first post, I should clarify things a bit,

I'm not fussed on the javascript reflections working in IE6, its just my generated images for the menu don't display right... thats my concern...

dresswell, are you able to tell which one of the images aren't loading?

Menu looks awesome. The page is a bit slow to load though and given that your images aren't really that large it's probably the script that generates the images or this:

<!--[if lt IE 7.]>
<script defer type="text/javascript" src="sohoadmin/program/modules/site_templates/pages/CUSTOM-Grad-Grey/pngfix.js"></script>
<![endif]-->

IE7 supports .png so you'll want to change your if statement to if lt IE 6. Also you may want to consider using a different .png fix. Try this one:

<!--[if lte IE 6]>
<style type="text/css">
img, #header { behavior: url("http://www.timburroughs.canspeed.com/sohoadmin/program/modules/site_templates/pages/PHASE2-Dinkin_Flicka-Red/pngbehavior.htc"); }
</style>

Type in the url above into your browser and copy that file and save as pngbehavior.htc then place this new if statement in your template. See the selectors in the style named img and #header? Change those to the selectors that you want to be transparent, for example .reflect

Have a go at that and see if it helps your IE6 woes.

yeah, I just made the change before, all I did was remove the need for the png fix to be applied to IE7 (only for IE6 and earlier), and it started working... oddballs, but anyhoo, Tim, once again, you have made my day!!!! :cool:
