On the template I have built, how do I add what I call the shopping cart info wraparound (which shows on this page:
http://www.shop.mile...pping/start.php) so that it wraps around the products I have dropped on this page:http://www.shop.mile...?pr=LindasPicks

Thanks in advance,
Sinclair

The search column ("wraparound") is part of the shopping cart application (.../shopping/start.php). Unfortunately I don't know it can be isolated and inserted into pages you created with page editor.

Thanks lwyau, I thought I had seen a way to do this before somewhere in the forum in the past, but can't find it now.

The deal is that I am adding a shopping cart to a website that already has content pages created in FrontPage and right now my client doesn't want me to convert the whole website to Soholaunch, but only add the shopping cart for a limited number of items.

So Cameron or Mike suggested that I create a subdomain and install soholaunch on it and just used the shopping cart part of Soholaunch, which is what I have done. Basically there will be 4 content pages (one for each of the bookstore's 4 staff to recommend their book "picks" on. On each of these content pages, I will drop 4 - 5 products like I have done here: http://www.shop.mile...?pr=LindasPicks

But seems to me it would make more sense to have the shopping cart info "wraparound" also on these pages, which would include the search function and the info about credit card acceptance and policies, etc.

Can you think of any other way to accomplish something like I am talking about. I was hoping there was a way to build it into a template for these "shopping pages".

Thanks,
Sinclair

A custom include script grafted from the shopping cart application script needs to be written and incorporated in the template.

Thanks again lwyau.

I found this in the sohowiki:
#CUSTOMINC# - Replaced with output of "includethis.inc" (if found), which should be placed in the template's folder along with index.html, custom.css, etc.

So for this newbie (still after 2 years!), is the #custominc# what I should use in the template to accomplish this? And if so, then what it seems like I need to do is then is have a file called includethis.inc in my template folder. Only thing then is that all I know is that I want it to display http://www.shop.mile...pping/start.php. How do I write that into the custom incloude file?

Thanks again for all your help!

I would start by reading the shopping/start.php script and figuring out where the code responsible for displaying the search column is. Doing this requires a fairly decent knowledge of PHP scripting.
