sohoadmin > file manager > upload files.

Once a .csv file is uploaded, it becomes available in the drop down list when importing.

My file is upload in the csv format, but I cannot drag and drop. I do not have a csv location to place the file. Do this file need to be ftp to upload? I haven't a clue to what the next step may be.

.csv files are useful ONLY for importing database tables with soho. I assumed you knew that (too presumptious on my part).

Maybe you can shed some light on what it is you are trying to accomplish?

CSV's are a straight-forward upload with the file manager, unless they are fatter than the upload limits set by your ISP.

Is it the actual upload of the CSV, or an import of data that you are having issues with?

It is the actual import, how do you import the files? The files are uploaded. Do I need to go to my control panel to upload?

Go go sohoadmin > database tables > select either the user tab or system tab > locate the table you are importing > click on "import".

You will then be asked to select the .csv file you already uploaded, and to match fields. Just follow through and the .csv file will be imported to the table.

Once the files are uploaded, are these product now in the product category chosen? I mean when I go to the website, can a person locate these products?

Finally, someone who understands

It is always helpful when phrasing questions with specifics and details. :geek:

Once the files are uploaded, are these product now in the product category chosen? I mean when I go to the website, can a person locate these products?

See nobody could know you were in fact asking about importing data to shopping cart database table... :hmm:

The short answer is "Yes". However, you should read this thread to get to know what's involved in doing this:

There in your sohoadmin > data bases.
You can import,export,delete, add to.
And a bunch of things.
Make a soho back up of your site just in case.
You will also need excel to make changes.
