I'm very new at this site building biz an I need a few eyes on this issue that I am trying to correct.

http://www.fairviewmethodist.org

Focusing on the left side menu, the #vmenu# splits at my slice lines when the #content# area grows to accomodate the various items inserted in there.

How would I go about inserting a repeating horizontal menu slice to fill the gap?

You need to make either of the heighted heights (probably the one associated with #BOX# tag) to "100%":

  <tr>
    <td colspan="4" align="center" valign="middle" background="index_r5_c1.gif"><p align="center" class="vmenu_main_on" style="margin:0px">#VMENU#</p></td>
    <td colspan="3" rowspan="4" valign="top" background="index_r5_c5.gif"><blockquote>
        <p align="left" style="margin:0px">#CONTENT#</p>
    </blockquote></td>
    <td><img src="spacer.gif" width="1" height="210" border="0" alt=""></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td colspan="4"><img name="index_r6_c1" src="index_r6_c1.gif" width="180" height="36" border="0" alt=""></td>
    <td><img src="spacer.gif" width="1" height="36" border="0" alt=""></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td colspan="4"><img name="index_r7_c1" src="index_r7_c1.gif" width="180" height="36" border="0" alt=""></td>
    <td><img src="spacer.gif" width="1" height="36" border="0" alt=""></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
    <td colspan="4" align="center" valign="middle" background="index_r8_c1.gif"><p align="center" style="margin:0px">#BOX1#</p></td>
    <td><img src="spacer.gif" width="1" height="211" border="0" alt=""></td>
  </tr>

Thanks for the tip.
I accomplished the fix in the areas you advised and the change from "211" to 100%" in the field vertically closed in the #BOX1# field (which was nice!) but not what I was after. The two menu boxes are still splitting apart.

I still see it as "211".

You may need to tweak other places -- your template has fairly complex column spans and row spans in the table layout, making it not exactly apparent.

I changed it back after it didn't really address the prob I had. I think I may have to resize and re-slice my origional to fix the issue.

I dont know what you got in there but it took a LONGGGGGG time to load even on high speed. Like 4 minutes. Im guessin you have some script in there thats looping.

Hmmm,...I don't know how that is. It does not take that long for me. But if you have some critique about the spacing issue ,.. I would welcome it.
